Assembling Straight Edge

Use of assembling straight edge

An assembly ruler is a robust, precision-ground ruler that is used in particular for aligning, straightening, and checking machines and devices or workpieces - especially over long distances. The contact surface of the assembly ruler is also used in combination with a precision spirit level, which is also available in the SHOP in analog or digital form.

Lengths and accuracies of assembling straight edge

In our measuring equipment store, we offer assembly rulers in lengths from 500 to 6000 mm in accordance with DIN 874 with an accuracy of 0 or 1. Detailed information regarding the accuracy of the mounting rulers can be found in the respective product descriptions. The mounting rulers are also characterized by their height and width, which serve as a support surface for precision alignment scales.

Deflection of assembling straight edge

Please note that the lowest possible deflection must be achieved when using the mounting ruler in order to ensure maximum precision.
You will find a detailed, illustrated description under the product.

Assembling straight edges, materials, and custom-made products

If required, we can also produce special mounting rulers with individual lengths in steel or aluminum with a hard-coat finish.
